About Norwell, Massachusetts
Norwell is an affluent town in Plymouth County with a population of 11,351 at the 2020 census. The town's southeastern border runs along the scenic North River.
First settled in 1634 as part of Satuit (later Scituate), Norwell was originally called South Scituate before separating and being officially incorporated in 1888. The name was changed to Norwell in honor of Henry Norwell, a dry goods merchant who funded the town's public library.
Today, Norwell is one of the most desirable communities on the South Shore, known for its excellent schools, historic homes, and beautiful natural surroundings. Ferazzi Electric has been serving Norwell's distinguished homeowners since 2003.
